Mrs. Roberts has 18 years of experience in public education in Oklahoma with the majority of her career spent in Norman Public Schools, where her husband is also a career educator and her children have all graduated. Mrs. Roberts was a special education and math teacher at Norman North the majority of her educational career. She has been serving as assistant principal at Whittier Middle School since 2021. Prior to that, she served as 9th grade assistant principal at Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City Public Schools.

Clinette Franks

Mrs. Franks was a basketball legend at Oklahoma State University (OSU) before starting her career in education. Her jersey number was 23 and her basketball position in college was center. Now Franks focuses her time on her education career and working as a school administrator. Before she came to Irving, Franks was a principal at Moore High School and Norman High School for 20 years, and has been a principal for 31 years. 

Brook Varner

Ms. Varner worked as a Special Education teacher and then a Biology teacher at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas after graduating from OU. Student achievement and leading teams of teachers through developing effective curriculum and strategies in the classroom led her to become the Science Instructional Lead. Excellence for all students in and out of the classroom is her primary motivation. She is excited to move back to Oklahoma, where she has always felt at home.

Tim Hightower

Mr. Hightower has been an educator for 30 years. He has served in many capacities, including classroom teacher, head coach, school counselor, and school administrator. He has considerable educational experience at all levels, K-12, and has acquired an undeniable passion and love for middle school education. He and his family have moved from Duncan, Oklahoma and they are excited about the opportunity to join the Norman community and Irving Middle School.
